Close-up of a hybrid between the Monkey Orchid Orchis simia and the Man Orchid Orchis anthropophora. The botanical name for this hybrid is Orchis ×bergonii.

In continental Europe, the hybrid occurs regularly where the two parent species grow together. In Britain it was recorded in Kent in 1985 but this plant was found in Vercors, France.
