Whole plant portrait of the Early Marsh Orchid Dactylorhiza incarnata subsp. ochroleuca.
This distinctly creamy yellow subspecies of Early Marsh Orchid is one of the rarest UK orchids. Currently it exists in two small colonies, one in Suffolk and one in Cambridgeshire.
In the past it was to be found in several calcareous fens of Suffolk's Waveney Valley but it is now a very vulnerable orchid.
