I especially like pink variants of the Green Winged Orchid Anacamptis morio. This one is slightly unusual in that it has no darker coloured spots on the flower lip.
The plant was part of a spectacular population covering three old Kentish meadows and was photographed very early in the morning. The flowers are covered in small beads of dew creating an almost crystalline appearance.
This photograph is used on the front panel on the new publicity leaflet for the Hardy Orchid Society.
